Frequently asked questions

What tools will I need?
You’ll just need a few basic tools — a drill, spanner, level, and a ladder. No cutting or welding is required.
Are the brackets weather-resistant?
Yes! Each bracket is made from high-grade steel, first hot-dip galvanized and then powder coated, making it strong, and built to withstand New Zealand’s tough weather conditions.
Can I customise the size or layout?
Absolutely. The kit is modular and flexible, so you can extend, reduce, or adjust the layout to suit your space.
What type of timber should I use with the brackets?
We recommend using dry, straight, and treated timber.
Standard 100 × 100 mm posts fit perfectly with Outpro brackets.
Why isn’t timber included?
Shipping timber is pricey, and most people can easily pick it up from their local hardware store.
This also lets you choose the wood type and finish that best suits your project.
What’s the maximum span between brackets?
We recommend keeping the distance between brackets no more than 4 metres.
